In the Wee Class
Children should be reading every day. Also one piece of numeracy homework is given to last the week. Parents are asked to sign the reading diary after listening to their child’s reading and give encouragement with the numeracy.
In the Big Class
One piece of literacy and one piece of numeracy homework is usually given. Children in the upper stages of primary school are expected to develop independent learning skills, but parents can still support their child by checking that homework has been completed to a high standard.
There is a homework club every Monday that children are encouraged to attend. A teacher can help them with homework if they are stuck.
