Lochgoilhead Primary School is situated on the Cowal Peninsula at the head of Loch Goil.
The school catchment area includes the villages of Lochgoilhead and Carrick Castle. The school provides education for 3 to 12 year olds. Our beautiful and stimulating environment facilitates excellent opportunities for learning in the context of the Curriculum for Excellence. Our local community is very supportive of our school and our Parent's Council is excellent and a real asset to the development and the achievements of our school.
The high Argyllshire hills, which surround the village, gives the school an unrivalled situation. Lochgoilhead Primary School, with its large grass playing fields, is situated off the main road near the edge of the village. We are part of the Argyll forest. Employment opportunities include the leisure and tourism industry at Drimsynie Holiday Park, HM Navy base, Outdoor Education Centres at Ardroy and Lochgoilhead and farming.
